Fall 2023 SSTV Decodes from the International Space Station

After a year and a half without much SSTV activity from the ISS, an event was held for North American stations as a test of the space station’s newly updated SSTV capabilities. The reasons cited for the silence include broken equipment as well as a developing geopolitical situation that’s bled over to the earth’s atmosphere.

Using a 4 element Yagi-Uda and recording audio to an SD card with a Yaesu FT3DR, I managed a decode on some of the passes this last week. Here’s a few of the better ones!
